L’Espluga de Francolí is located 2.5 km from the monastery of Poblet, at the foot of the ENP of the Prades Mountains and the Poblet Natural Site of National Interest. L’Espluga is one of the most touristic villages in the region. The prehistoric caves, the modernist winery, theMuseu Terra, the Fassina Balanyà, the Templar and Hospitaller Route and the famous carquinyolis (a variety of sweet dry pasta with almonds) are, among others, the most important attractions of the town.
It also lies along La Ruta del Cister Trail GR 175, and its surroundings offer a wide network of signposted trails—perfect for hiking or mountain biking while enjoying the landscape, nature, and cultural heritage of the area.
