Located in the south-east of the Conca de Barberà, a River Francolí canal and at the foot of the Prades Mountains and Sierra Miramar. It is a small, tranquil and welcoming village near the mediaeval city of Montblanc.
Muntanyes de Prades was the second inland resort to be awarded the Family Holiday Destination seal. Consisting of the municipalities of l’Espluga of Francolí, Vallclara, Vilaverd, Vilanova de Prades and Vimbodí-Poblet, Alcover, Arbolí, La Febró, Capafonts, Mont-ral and Prades, the area is noted for its natural environment, a chain of mountains running just inland, that is ideal for outings with children.
