La Cirera

Vall del Corb

Cirera is a village in the municipality of Llorac, in the Conca de Barberà. It is 750 meters high and is reached by a neighboring road that connects with the villages of Santa Coloma de Queralt and Ciutadilla.

It was formed around a hill where the Cirera castle was located, already documented in the 12th century. In the 14th century it belonged to the Alenyà de Montblanc family, while in the 17th century it consisted of the barony of Dalmau de Ivorra. The church of Santa María de la Cirera is of Gothic architecture.

The festivities of the town are for Sant Marc, the 25th of April, and the Festival for the feast of the Virgin of August.
