Albió

Vall del Corb

Albió is a village in the municipality of Llorac, in the northeast of the Conca de Barberà. Currently there is a rural tourism house, a cheese factory and a textile craft.
The town was formed around the castle of Albió, located on a small hill and of which the ruins still remain. Under the hill is the mill, built in the 13th century.
Under the village, next to the bridge that crosses the river Corb, stands one of the mills of Albió (the Molí de Dalt) that exploded, and perhaps built, the Templars. It is an exceptional building that preserves practically its entire medieval structure.

San Gil de Albió is the parish church of the town. On the first Sunday of September, in honor of San Gil, the Fiesta Mayor is celebrated.
It is an ideal place to go hiking and enjoy a walk in nature.
